Thus, IRTA has a mission to contribute to the&nbsp;modernization, competitiveness and sustainable development of the agrarian, food,&nbsp;aquaculture and fishing sectors, as well as the provision of healthy quality food to consumers&nbsp;and, in general, to improve the welfare of the population.<br /><br /> IRTA’s cooperative system is&nbsp;constituted by 10 Centres and Experimental Stations and 9 associated ones which are&nbsp;distributed in 27 locations across Catalonia.
